MAGIC EDEN DEBUTS ORDINALS LAUNCHPAD

NFT Marketplace, Magic Eden has announced the debut of its ordinals launchpad.

Love ‘em or hate ‘em at least NFT’s are now on a secure network.

The platform is designed to help enable creators to inscribe their collections onto bitcoin.

This news comes just over 2 weeks after the company launched their ordinals marketplace.

For those wondering, the ordinals protocol allows users to insert data on top of UTXOs, in theory making them immutable NFTs.

So far almost 1,000,000 bits of data have been inscribed into the Bitcoin Blockchain.

SCAMTOSHI ACCUSES APPLE OF COPYRIGHT

Scamtoshi returns!

Self-proclaimed Satoshi Craig Wright has accused Apple of copyright infringement. Shock!

This comes following the discovery of the bitcoin whitepaper in Apple’s MacOS.

Craig is known for his controversial approach to claiming Bitcoin’s IP rights in courts of law. All of which so far he has lost.

Wright’s aim is to gain legal control over Bitcoin’s technology and use.

…really sounds like something Satoshi would do lol.

BITCOIN MINERS REACH AGREEMENT IN NIAGARA

US Bitcoin Corp reach agreement to restart mining operations in the city of Niagara.

In the terms, US Bitcoin have to comply with various measures around noise reduction and permits.

They are also required to pay a total of $330,000 in the form of compensation, fees and reimbursements. Ouch…

The City of Niagara Council is yet to approve the agreement.

NORTH CAROLINA HALTS BITCOIN MINING FOR 1 YEAR

Buncombe County Commissioners are proposing a plan to pause Bitcoin mining for a year in the state of North Carolina.

Due to concerns about the environment and community in the surrounding area.

*face palm*

At present the county has no regulation around mining, which may be reason for halting the current operations.

A public hearing will take place on May 2 to discuss the plan and gives the community an opportunity to share their opinions on the matter.

North Carolina Bitcoiners make your voices known!

Miners would be forced to comply with noise and other regulations to limit impact on the surrounding area.
